If you are looking for new desktop wallpapers on a web site, browsing them one by one will take too long. It would be more efficient if you had them on your hard drive, where you could go through them much faster, move them to a wallpapers folder, delete the ones you do not like and so on. This can be possible with NeoDownloader. Copy and paste a web site's URL and the software will download those images for you. It is not limited only to pictures. You can also use it to download video, audio and any other type of files.

The software can be used free of charge for 30 days. When the trial period expires, you can still use it for free, but with some limitations. The package is 2.60 Mb large, which should not be too much to download. The system requirements are not high and you can run it in most Windows versions.

The user interface looks and feels like an explorer window, but with a few extra options. It is possible to create multiple download projects and organize them in a tree structure, on the left side of the window. The central area is where the downloaded content will be displayed as thumbnails and they can be previewed on the right end of the main window. NeoDownloader's features are primarily intended for images. Besides navigation buttons and basic editing tools (copy, cut, delete), you will also find buttons for starting a slideshow, view images in full screen mode or set them as the desktop's wallpaper. However, this does not mean that NeoDownloader will not download other types of files, either.

A download project can be created with the aid of a wizard. During its steps, you must paste a web site's URL, type a user name and password, should the site require it, and select a template, according to what type of data you want to download. You can choose between single or multiple galleries (pictures and movies), MP3 files, ZIP and EXE files and others. Finally, the project can be set to start immediately after finishing with the wizard.

If you want to make further adjustments to a project, you should not set the project to start automatically. Selecting it in the tree structure and clicking a settings button on the toolbar will bring up a tabbed window with additional options. Here you can set the depth of the scan, select what type of file and format the program should download, set URL filters and more. Once they are done, the settings can be saved as a new template. Starting a project only requires selecting it and clicking a Start button on the toolbar. The URLs through which the program will go, will be displayed in real time, in a list on the bottom side of the main window. After a few seconds, the files will start to appear, one by one, on the main area of the interface. You can find them already saved in a folder which you can specify in the software's general settings panel.
